Introduction

Even if you've never flown a radio controlled (RC) aircraft before, the Carbon Cub S 2 is the most versatile, capable and easiest to fly scale RC airplane yet! Based on the Carbon Cub by CubCrafters, an upgraded and thoroughly modern iteration of the classic Super Cub, and equipped with Horizon Hobby's exclusive and innovative SAFE technology, this scale reproduction makes it possible for almost anyone to learn to fly successfully. And the addition of telemetry-capable and Smart components including an ESC, battery and charger (battery and charger sold separately for the BNF® Basic version), along with the option to add SAFE Plus® GPS-enabled technology and the Landing Assist Sensor (LAS), makes learning to fly even easier than ever before!

Oversized Tundra Tires

Thick grass, gravel paths, dirt trails - Tundra wheels can tackle these and many other surfaces that would be impossible for most models of this size to handle.

Optional Flaps

The functional flaps are an option for impressive short-field takeoff and landing performance. This feature requires a 7+ channel computer transmitter, a flap servo, and a servo extension. (Sold Separately)

Optional Floats

Turn your model into a float plane with the optional Hobbyzone float set. Installation takes just a few minutes and all the necessary hardware is included with the aircraft and float set.

AutoLand

When activated after holding down a button, the advanced AutoLand function puts the Carbon Cub S+ on a stabilized approach to autonomously land near the GPS initialization point. You can even provide some directional guidance to avoid obstacles or to adjust the approach while letting the system do the rest to execute a safe landing. As your skills progress and you gain more confidence you can take over more of the control inputs, eventually learning to land without any assistance from the automated system at all.
