BY POPULAR DEMAND
You asked, and E-flite® delivers! The UMX™ Timber® X is a scaled-down, ultra-micro version of the extremely popular Timber® X 1.2m — and it's one of the most-requested models in E-flite history. The unique wing design combines the STOL capabilities of the Turbo Timber with oversized control surfaces and a 3S compatible power system to deliver an even wider flight envelope. The UMX Timber X also comes equipped with LED landing, navigation, and strobe lights, and provides real-time battery voltage and other telemetry data to compatible Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters. Because of its ultra-micro size, the UMX Timber X can be flown outdoors in many yards, parks, and sports fields, or even indoors in gymnasiums and other suitable spaces. Install the optional UMX floats (EFLUA1190, sold separately) and you can also fly from pools, ponds, and lakes. It's a great choice for a wide range of intermediate to experienced pilots, and offers a "mild to wild" flying experience that no other model can touch!

THE TIMBER LEGEND CONTINUES
Convenient, capable, and affordable, the E-flite® UMX™ Timber® X combines the fly-almost-anywhere advantages of the UMX Turbo Timber with the unique capabilities of the larger Timber X 1.2m. Compared to the ultra-micro Timber models that came before it, its brushless power system features a 3S-compatible outrunner motor and the wing has a shortened span, larger ailerons plus an enlarged elevator and rudder. On low rates, the controls can be smooth and docile. On high rates, they deliver eXtreme 3D capability — to fly as mild or as wild as you'd like! The full-span ailerons can also be used as flaperons for improved slow flight and STOL performance. Spektrum™ AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select technologies are included for easier flying, and the control unit/flight controller provides real-time flight battery voltage telemetry and other data to compatible Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters. Oversized, tundra-style wheels soak up bumps and offer excellent prop clearance. Fly from grass, gravel paths, dirt trails, paved, and other surfaces, outdoors in yards, parks, sports fields and beyond, or indoors in suitable spaces including gymnasiums. Install optional floats (EFLUA1190, sold separately) to add large pools, small ponds, and lakes to your flying site options. Included LED landing, navigation and simulated strobe lights make it possible to fly from earlier to even later in the day. Constructed of advanced EPS material for a lightweight but durable airframe, the UMX Timber X arrives 100% factory-assembled and ready to bind to your 5+ channel DSMX®/DSM2® equipped transmitter. That means you can be flying within minutes of opening the box!
Bind-N-Fly® Completion Level Advantage
Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly® (BNF®) aircraft make getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!
Telemetry Capable
The UMX™ Timber® X is equipped with a control unit/flight controller that includes an ESC and Spektrum™ receiver that provides real-time flight battery voltage telemetry to compatible Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, the iX12, iX20 and others) while you fly.
eXtra Exclusive Technologies
This ultra-micro Timber® X is equipped with exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE® Select offers pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch to make it easier to fly!
eXtreme Maneuverability
Compared to the UMX™ Turbo Timber®, the UMX Timber X features a wing design with a shortened span plus much larger full-span ailerons – which can also be used as flaperons – along with an enlarged elevator and rudder. On low rates the controls can be smooth and docile, or on high rates they deliver eXtreme 3D capability so you can fly as mild or as wild as you'd like!
eXtra Power
The factory-installed brushless power system features a 3S-compatible outrunner motor that makes it possible to hover with ease and delivers unlimited vertical performance.
eXtremely STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) Capable
The wing has a shorter span and more chord so it still has plenty of wing area, plus it features full-span ailerons that can be used as flaperons for improved slow flight and STOL performance. These features, along with the lightweight design and high-power brushless motor, make it possible to spring into the air or float down to land in less distance than any other similar class model.
eXtra Versatile Gear
Fly from surfaces that are impossible for most models of this size to handle: grass, gravel paths, dirt trails, paved surfaces, and more. The oversized, tundra-style wheels soak up bumps and provide excellent prop clearance. You can even fly from pools, ponds and lakes using the optional floats (EFLUA1190, sold separately)!
LED Lights
Like the UMX™ Turbo Timber, the UMX Timber X comes with realistic-looking LED landing, navigation and simulated strobe lights that are factory-installed and powered from the flight battery.
Fully Factory-Assembled
The UMX™ Timber X arrives 100% factory-assembled and ready to fly right out of the box! It's equipped with industry-leading Spektrum™ 2.4GHz technology that binds to your 5+ channel DSMX®/DSM2® equipped transmitter so you can be flying within minutes of opening the box.
Durable Design
Construction with advanced EPS material delivers a lightweight yet durable airframe. In the unfortunate event you damage any airframe parts or components and can't repair them, a full line of replacement/spare parts is readily available.
Already own a SpektrumT transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly and fly!
This Bind-N-Fly Basic model is equipped with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX¬ receiver featuring AS3X¬ (Artificial Stabilization-3-aXis) technology that works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence so you enjoy a sense of stability and precision that makes it feel like you're flying a much larger, expertly tuned aircraft.
If this is your first model of its type, or you want an extra margin of safety while familiarizing yourself with the airplane, you can enable the optional-use SAFE¬ Select flight envelope protection technology built into the receiver. No programming is required.
With SAFE Select enabled, you get:
Pitch and Bank Angle Limits
- These envelope limits keep the airplane from rolling or pitching upside down. They also prevent excessive climb or dive angles.
Automatic Self-Leveling
- The airplane instantly returns to and holds level flight when the sticks are released and in the center position. It's also helpful for keeping the wings level during takeoffs/launches and landings.
Easy Switch Assignment-No Complex Programming Required
- The simple procedure for assigning a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select features on and off doesn't require any complex programming and takes just a few seconds. For UMX models like this one, SAFE Select is automatically assigned to channel 5 (Gear) so you can turn it on an off with any switch assigned to that channel (switch A by default on most Spektrum computer transmitters).
